Hello
everyone! My name is Johann David Bonilla, but people just call me David. I am
an international student from Honduras, Central America. I came to Southern
Miss in 2012(I'm a Junior now) and I am majoring in Recording Industry
Production. I'm also a violinist.
I started studying the violin when I was 7
years old. Music has always been a central part of my life. I believe I have
been blest with the gift of music because it has given me the opportunity to
study in a different and more developed country, such as the U.S. Currently, I am an active member of USM's Symphony Orchestra.
Even though music holds a very
important place in my life, it is not “my everything.” I love sports: soccer in
specific. I am very passionate about it. The first time I saw the Honduran
national team qualify to the World Cup, I almost broke the TV where I was watching
the game with other friends. And of course, I was in tears and yelling like
crazy. LOL. Oh, and by the way, in that occasion Honduras qualified thanks to
the U.S. beating Costa Rica. Americans never were so loved in Honduras as in that glorious day.
So yes, I can be a conservative and calm person
when it comes to classical music, but I can also be crazy,
loud, and even “too passionate” when it comes to watch or play soccer games. That pretty much sums up who I am! Hope to hear more from you all in order to get to know
each other better. Peace.
